72 hours with the new Q3 Monochrom in Zurich.
In October, Leica asked me to test the new Q3 Monochrom and create a portfolio for the launch of the new camera — a huge honour. I spent three afternoons with it in Zurich.

Monochrome photography has always been the purest form of seeing for me. When colour disappears, the essence comes forward: light, shadow, structure, emotion. Black and white doesn’t remove anything; it reveals what’s already there. It’s a way of slowing the eye down and looking closer.

The Q3 does exactly that with me. Fast, precise, unobtrusive — it lets me stay fully in the moment. Its tonality, the depth of the greys, those soft transitions between light and dark give the images a timeless calm.

With it, I can capture everyday stories in their quiet intensity — raw, honest, reduced.
That, to me, is the essence of photography.

the exhibition will be at the Leica Store Zurich until mid January. Want to swing by together? Just drop me a message.
